Before You Create Your PDF

i) Before using this guide, please ensure you have had PDF

Create! installed on your computer. Click the 'start' button > 'All

programs' and if you see a folder called Scansoft PDF Create! 3.0,

the software has been installed, otherwise contact the IT helpdesk on

extension number 46547 or email IThelpdesk@doeni.gov.uk .

ii) Before creating a new PDFensure you are using the correct

settings for the type of PDF you wish to output. See 'Modifying PDF

Create behaviour' (page 6) to see how to do this.

Step 1: Open document

If in Microsoft Word, open the document that you will be converting to a

PDF.

Step 2: Accept changes

If changes made to your document have been tracked, ensure that they

have all been accepted.
